Result:

A viewing within 24 hours of relaunching and a two year tenancy signed within 48 hours, with an option to buy.

South Africa, 2017. Before Lumio had a name. Just a camera, a safari truck and moments that stopped us in our tracks.

We stayed at Simbambili then and it was already something special, intimate, immersive, quietly unforgettable. Since their full refurbishment in 2024, they’ve taken an already beautiful place and elevated it even further.

 Since 2018 I’ve worked as a TV presenter and there’s really nothing like the thrill of live television. It’s fast, it’s intense, there’s nowhere to hide and honestly, I loved it and thrived in it!

That environment shaped how I approach the work we create at Lumio today, whether I’m on camera or behind the concept. From preparation and scripting, to storytelling and delivery, to reacting in the moment when things don’t go to plan.
